KAR UK Limited, a prominent wholesaler of irrigation equipment in the UK, is pleased to announce the addition of Thomas York to its sales team. Thomas has recently assumed the role of Area Sales Manager and will oversee territories spanning the central region of the UK.
Bringing valuable experience to his new position, Thomas previously served at CDR Pumps, a renowned provider of magnetically driven centrifugal pumps catering to industries such as chemicals, pharmaceuticals, nuclear, and manufacturing sectors. During his tenure of four and a half years at CDR Pumps, Thomas acquired a deep understanding of pump fundamentals, honing his expertise in the Chemical Process sector.
Transitioning from his role at CDR, Thomas joined Caprari Pumps, a leading manufacturer specialising in wastewater and irrigation solutions. At Caprari, he focused on borehole pumps and submersible pumps, contributing to the company’s commitment to serving the irrigation sector effectively.
Reflecting on his decision to join KAR UK, Thomas expressed enthusiasm for embracing new challenges, and his eagerness to immerse himself in KAR’s diverse product portfolio and to engage with clients across various industries: “I have a lot to learn as my expertise is mainly on the pump side of things, but already I have the full support of the team, who have made me feel very welcome and have already taught me a lot.”, Thomas said, “I love to learn, and this new role will provide me with the opportunity to develop my knowledge of the irrigation sector. I am looking forward to the challenge ahead of me; developing my knowledge of the vast product range and the many different industries that KAR cater to.”
